Face Up™ Aftercare: How to Support Your Body's Natural Healing

The magic of Face Up™ doesn’t end when you get off the table. In fact, some of the most important shifts happen afteryour session — and how you care for your body in those hours and days can make all the difference in how deeply and lastingly your body responds.

Face Up™ is about restoring flow. Lymph, blood, fascia, energy — it's all interconnected. When we release patterns in the head, face, and neck, we kickstart the body’s natural detox and healing responses.

Let’s talk lymph.

Your lymphatic system doesn’t have a pump like the heart. It relies on movement, muscle contraction, breath, and hydration to keep things flowing. After Face Up™, lymph is already moving, but you can take it even further with a few simple aftercare steps:

1. Diaphragmatic (belly) breathing This is one of the most powerful tools to help your lymph system. When you breathe deep into your belly, your diaphragm contracts and relaxes, creating a gentle pumping action that moves lymph through your torso and into your main drainage points.

Try this: Lay on your back with one hand on your belly. Inhale through your nose and feel your belly rise. Exhale slowly through your mouth and feel it fall. Do this for 5-10 minutes. It’s simple, and it works.

2. Stay hydrated Water is essential for lymph flow. It helps the lymph stay fluid and move easily through your system. After Face Up™, drink plenty of clean water — this helps flush toxins and keeps your system in motion.

3. Movement Gentle movement is your friend. Go for a walk, stretch, do light yoga. Nothing strenuous, just enough to keep things circulating and support your body's natural detox pathways.

4. Your custom exercises At the end of your Face Up™ session, I give you simple, targeted exercises for your unique tension or "problem" areas. These are designed to keep the work we did in-session going long after you leave the table. They help re-pattern the areas that have been holding the most tension and guide your body into a new, more functional baseline.

Think of it like brushing your teeth — just a few minutes a day can maintain all the good work and prevent old patterns from sneaking back in.

Why this matters: Aftercare isn’t just about "prolonging the glow." It's about supporting your whole system in adjusting to the new space, flow, and freedom Face Up™ creates. You’re not just treating your face — you’re resetting your nervous system, clearing stagnation, and inviting your body into a more vibrant, balanced state.

So breathe deep. Drink your water. Do your moves. You’re not just helping your results last — you’re helping your body evolve.
